SPG Awards 2025: A Tribute to “Reflections” - Celebrating Street Photography Gallery’s Annual Winners

Photographers Sebastian Szczepanowski, Christian H. Hildebrand, and Knut Arne Gjertsen Top the Global Contest


The Street Photography Gallery (SPG World) proudly announces the winners of the SPG Awards 2025, themed “Reflections”. The competition invited photographers worldwide to interpret life’s mirrored moments, capturing both visual and emotional resonance through the art of street photography.

This year’s event witnessed a threefold increase in submissions, marking a record-breaking milestone for SPG and reaffirming its role as one of the most inclusive and respected global platforms in the genre.


The Gold Star Awardees for 2025 are:

  2. Christian H. Hildebrand

  3. Knut Arne Gjertsen

Twenty-nine more photographers were honoured with Blue Star Awards, completing the Top 30 list of 2025’s standout talents. The Top 30 include: Mihir Masurkar, Andy Parker, Galih Winduadi, Biprorshi Chatterjee, Milan Barad, Andrea Misurova, Callie Eh, Chris Yan, Suvrajit Sarkar, Stefano Mengotto, Martin Agius, Navid Moghaddam, Gulcan Turhan, Patrice Go, Subhadip Banerjee, Jishnu Sarkar, Rohan Barik, Cristiano Bartoli, Supriyo Das, Marco Moretti, Kim Keller, Partha Mukhopadhyay, Tomek Jochemczyk, Barbara Raselli, Dima G, Soumayan Biswas, David Williams, Yaniv Cohen, and Muhammad Saidul Islam.


The esteemed jury panel comprised Abhishek Deb, Victor Shohet, Kevin Unger, Goutam Maiti, and Talya Amati Lewis, with guest judges Einat Atias, Roma Agrawal, and Sarasij Dasgupta. The entries were evaluated anonymously in three stages to ensure impartiality.


Founder Abhishek Deb reflected on the event’s success:“This year’s theme, ‘Reflections’, successfully conceived the idea of reflections within the discipline of street photography. The works of the winners and finalists made all the judges think, wonder, and be both delighted and pondering at the same time.”

SPG also recognised Progressive Street and Rome Photo Lab for their ongoing support of the community.


In a landmark announcement, SPG revealed plans for a physical exhibition in February 2026, to be held in India, marking its evolution from an online gallery to an international cultural platform.
